Worth the money

Quality Inn & Suites Fairgrounds

This was our second hotel with our dog. This hotel outshined the other tremendously. It was clean, well kept, and friendly staff. It was worth the price and I would stay here again.

A big surprise

Red Roof Inn & Suites Wytheville

We arrived at the hotel around 11:30 pm. On the door to the office there was a note saying office temporarily closed go to hotel next door for service. We had to drive over to the hotel next door and the desk clerk had 4 people waiting all with problems. She handled them exceptionally well and with a smile although she was obviously overwhelmed on her own. She solved all the issues and gave us our keys for the original hotel room. We drove back over there, got the dog and my 81 year old mom out along with some luggage only to find the key worked to turn the light green but door wouldn’t open. We tried two keys and had 3 people attempt to open. No luck. We had to drive back to the second hotel, got a new room assigned and drove back. We were thankful the keys worked as it was now after midnight but we found there was no electricity on the wall the beds were on so the lights, clock, and outlets wouldn’t work. My mom and husband both use C-pap machines so we needed to make it work. There was no number to call the other hotel (our key holder was for a third hotel). We were too tired to go back and forth again so we ran an extension cord for the C-paps. The beds were ok and shower worked well. When Leaving our dog had splashed water on the floor so I used the towel to clean it up. I was shocked to see the towel was black! The flooring was laminate (with some boards separating). It was obvious that the floors had not been cleaned. However, all this said, for $50 plus $25 dog fee, I shouldn’t have expected more.
