Local stay was a good find
La Quinta by Wyndham TomballBecause we came home after work to no power from an afternoon storm, we needed to scramble to book a room for us and our almost adult puppy. This was a local stay for us, not traveling. La Quinta was available so we went for it & glad we did. This was our 2nd hotel outing with puppy, so where our first stay elsewhere was fine, it felt like we were looking at future hotel stays that were gonna be bare bones. Glad to report La Quinta wasn’t bare bones. The staff was great in greeting all of us, including puppy. The room was spacious, bed very comfortable, bathroom clean with nice towels (not the thin stuff some places call a towel), and a sitting area where we could relax without the bed doubling as a couch. Thanks La Quinta, and thank you too, Phyllis. If we ever need a local stay again or know of someone coming to town, we’d have no problem recommending La Quinta.

Puppy’s 1st trip away
Red Roof Inn Plus+ Galveston - BeachfrontWe took our puppy on his 1st trip & went to the beach. Appreciated the space in the room (not wall to wall furniture) & multiple outside water faucets with hoses to wash the sand off him. We will stay again.
