Outrageous Pet Fee

We attempted to stay here for ONE night, but they have a non-negotiable, non-refundable $125 pet fee. We called the main Hilton customer service line to question the fee. They too agreed that a $125 fee for ONE night was too high. They said that that amount is usually charged for 3 or more consecutive days. Customer service called the front desk on our behalf to check the fee, and management still wouldn’t budge. We plan to bump this back up through corporate once our road trip is done, as customer service said that doing so would highly benefit other travelers. We ended up staying at the La Quinta two doors down. The pet fee was only $20, and the room was cheaper. They were beyond welcoming to our four-legged family member and they had an amazingly good, hot, breakfast.
