La Quinta Inn & Suites Summersville / New River National ParkThe staff here are super nice, very friendly. The hotel shows well and the breakfast was great. Three doggie stations along the grassy area in the back so no excuses for not cleaning up messes. Lots of shopping and food within walking distance. Our only criticism was the room had an odd odor but it was nothing that would prevent us from going back.

Mama Maria's Restaurant and Beach BarThe outside staff was very pleasant and sat us quickly. When our server saw our pug, she brought him over a big bowl of water. It started to rain and some locals were setting off fireworks (upsetting the dog) so we had to hurry up and take everything to go. But everyone was very accommodating. But we have to say that the meat lovers pizza was fantastic! The yummy eggplant appetizer was enough for a whole meal. The cheesy garlic bread barely made back to the room because one of us couldn't stop eating it. The pizza fries were fun. And I highly recommend the side of broccoli. Great food and A+ service.
