Decent but doesn't live up to the reputation

Based on the reputation of The Davenport I expected it to be a little bit nicer. Nothing major, but small things like the door lock was incredibly stiff and hard to close, they didn't offer pet bowls so the kitchen lent me some stainless steel bins, and the stairwells were littered with cigarette butts. There was a small pet area which was nice. Since it's in the heart of downtown you can't expect a large park, and it's definitely a very small spot (probably 6'x6'). The pet bag dispenser was empty and the trash was full. Overall I didn't have any real complaints, it was just a little disappointing for the price and reputation that the Davenport has supposedly earned.
