Not as smoke free as it should be
La Quinta by Wyndham EffinghamNormally we love staying here - it’s our home away from home when we visit family and friends in the area. The reason for the low rating is due to that we had to move rooms halfway during our trip due to housekeeping staff smoking near the front door and smoke coming in our air conditioning/window in our second story room. We had to move our infant, dog and all of our belongings for a weeklong trip to a smaller, 3rd floor room - it wasn’t an easy or relaxing task. Again, normally it’s a great stay, but a smoke free hotel should be smoke free.

Highly recommend!
Carnegie Hotel & SpaWe enjoyed our time at the Carnegie. Their lovely atmosphere, extra detail to cleaning and safety (extra appreciated by this expecting mam to be!) and being so welcoming and comfortable for our dog all are just a few reasons I highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed the gorgeous building itself, and had a yummy and reasonably priced breakfast at the Wellington restaurant. We will be sure to visit again the next time we travel through the area!
