Hampton Inn EmporiaThe hotel was easy to get to off of I-95. The rooms overall were comfortable and fine. Dog rooms are on the 5th floor which makes it challenging. The spot out front for dogs to use is tiny. Still overall comfortable and relatively clean. Full breakfast available early.

Days Inn by Wyndham Fredericksburg NorthThe grounds were dirty and smelled of urine and weed. The bed was clean and ok and we were desperate to get off the road.

Easy on/off I-95
Best Western Point SouthStaff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Grounds were well lit and had plenty of grassy space for dogs. I’d stay here again.

Paper thin walls! Worst night sleep ever
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Roanoke Rapids I-95Pros - Room was clean and bed comfortable. Cons - Walls were so thin that we were awake listening to the local partiers next door until nearly 3am! Dogs were on alert all night there was so much activity. In order to be truly dog friendly, I would keep the Saturday night locals away from the road weary travelers.
