A quiet place to stay

Candlewood Suites Amarillo-Western Crossing an IHG Hotel

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We got a room with a kitchenette and separate bedroom.. It was great to have the extra room. I really like that they are a few blocks back from I40 so the fwy noise was very faint. Also it made it great for walking the dog because there is another hotel next door, minimal traffic and green spaces all around. It’s not super new in it’s furnishings, but everything was clean and well cared for. I would come back here again.

What a great hotel!

Kimpton Harper Hotel an IHG Hotel

We loved our stay there! They are super pet friendly! Have beds, bowls, etc. if you forgot something.
And it is a lovely place for grown ups if you’re in downtown Ft Worth. Two things to know. It’s valet parking and parking is off site, so if you forgot to grab everything when you pull up, like I did, you get to ask them to bring your car back (it was January and cold! But totally my bad). And, the pet walking place is a block away; a nice little park and JFK Memorial across the street. But I wholly recommend staying here if you are in the area. We had a lovely time! And even brought the dog with us up to the bar for a drink.

Great night’s stay

La Quinta by Wyndham Amarillo Airport

We have stayed here several times and have always been very happy with our experience at this hotel.
The people who work here are friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of grass for our dog to walk in. The rooms are very nice. Breakfast is good as well.

Good Location

Inn at Vanessie

We have stayed here several time without our dog and it’s great. I’m really glad they have pet friendly rooms. However, they don’t have any room on the property for a ‘Pet Area’ and the entire neighborhood is very dark at night. Santa Fe small residential area and very poorly lit so when you’re out at night walking your dog, there are no ‘grass’ areas around. The property could use a few low level lighting adds so you don’t feel completely in the dark at night. The rooms are nice. The one we stayed in had no rugs, so make sure you bring adequate bedding for your dog or place to stretch out comfortably.

Super cute reboot

Atrea Inn Amarillo

This hotel has had a complete redo and has really clean finishes and a comfortable bed. There is an actual full size refrigerator (sm) in your room. And a counter that makes it easy to transfer your travel cooler into it. It it totally dog friendly! They have an entire yard that is fine gravel and areas of turf for lots of room to walk safely at night for that outdoor business. The people working there are very friendly and helpful. They have a breakfast bar. And I loved that their room keys are a ‘tap’ rather than insert plastic. It may sound silly, but when you’re hands are full of dog lease and a suitcase, it was a brilliant thing! I would have given it 5 bones for all that. My only critique is that the rooms are small, and there is no chair to sit in- to watch tv etc., just one desk chair. If none of that matters to you, then it is a really good place to stay w/ your dog. And you can’t beat the price.

Really good place to stay

Best Western Plus Raton Hotel

It was dark and crazy windy when we got to Raton, and the check-in was so easy. They were kind and had coffee/tea in the lobby 24/7. We pulled up to park in front of the room. It was clean, the bed was very nice.
They had plenty of space to walk the dog and a pet area. Breakfast was included and they even brought it to your room. I’d stay there again.

Not great but not bad for the money

Comfort Inn Garden City

Nice staff. It's just that the rooms are not very updated. And could use some TLC. But they don't charge much for a pet fee, and the only other Pet Friendly hotels I found there, charge alot, so for an overnight stay, they were alright, but nothing to get excited about.

An ok place to stay

Fairfield Inn & Suites Amarillo Airport

They were definitely trying their best... and had a few challenges out of their control, like an elevator broken, and the truck carrying all of their breakfast items MIA over the holiday.. But next time I will go back to the La Quinta, which is just a better hotel for the same $$. But the Fairfield staff was very helpful and kind. And they have a good area for walking your pet. I wanted to give them a try, since we stop over here once a year on a family trip. I did really love how hot and full pressure the shower was. You hardly see that anymore. Extra points for that.

Great Pet Friendly Hotel

Hyatt Place Fort Worth Hurst

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's close to family we were visiting, and even with Covid restrictions, they went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. There are lots of places to walk your dog. It's close to alot of shopping / restaurants etc. but still quiet in the hotel. We would stay there again.

An easy overnight

Super 8 by Wyndham Childress

For a place to stay overnight with the dog, it definitely fit the bill.
The reception and the manager were both very welcoming.
The doggie area is at the back of the building. It has grass and is a nice place to walk your dog to quickly. And it’s away from the Main Street thru town’s traffic.
The showers have been recently retired. It’s a nice upgrade.
The bed was comfortable.
AC worked
The only thing I didn’t understand, but didn’t ask about, was our room only had one dining chair, and one nightstand... I’m sure there was a reason... and I could have asked them to fix it, but we were tired and we made it work.
AND it’s maybe 6 blocks from the really lovely Childress Park/ Lake.
That was a great place for our morning walk before we hit the road again! It’s north and west of the hotel. ... worth finding
