Great view - 1 mile only
Mount Mitchell TrailMt Mitchell is the highest point east of the Mississippi. You drive almost all the way to the top and the last .5 mile you walk up a steep incline to glorious views of the mountain. My pups loved running up the trail. Definitely worth doing.

Great Place to Start Your Trip
Dog Welcome Center at Dog Door Behavior Center and OutfittersThanks Em for providing maps, answering questions and giving suggestions on where to hike and dine with our dogs. In addition, lots of nice dog toys and supplies. Again- thank you Em for treating our pups like little princes. We enjoyed your enthusiasm and your warm hospitality.

Dog Friendly
Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City-Convention CenterStayed with my 2 mini schnauzers. They were greeted at front with dog bones. Breakfast included. We sat off the main dining area to have breakfast- our dogs joined us. Need to go behind hotel to walk the pups- not a very large area- but adequate. Walked all over Philly from this location.
