Great location
Best Western University InnThis Best Western is directly across the street from the CSU campus and only about a mile from Old Town, so the location was perfect for our needs. While it looks a little run down on the outside, the inside is the fairly typical Best Western. The room was a decent size and the mattresses comfortable. There is a small grassy area to walk your dogs, but despite the plentiful amount of poop bags available, watch your step. This had the typical Best Western breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, juice and coffee. My son loved the pool and hot tub which was clean and had plenty of extra towels. I would stay here again when visiting the college campus.

Great location
Foot of the Mountain MotelFoot of the Mountain motel really is at the foot of the foothills. There is a beautiful park along the river right across the street and you can easily walk along the bike path to the Pearl street mall which is about a mile away. Our pup loved the big grassy area out back where she tried to meet some deer. There is breakfast at this motel with hot and cold cereal, muffins, bagels, juice and coffee. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is pretty run down and could use a little bit of a face lift. The floors are a little uneven and the furniture is old with awful mattresses and pillows. The heat was either too hot or blowing cold air no matter what we set the temperature to. It was hard to regulate the water in the shower, but there was plenty of hot water. Also, the WiFi was intermittent. If you don’t care so much about this stuff and you want a nice location this is your place.
