Wonderful all around

Really nice comfortable and clean hotel. I liked that it was just a single fee for my 2 dogs. Breakfast was a touch better than the usual continental fare. Elevators were fast to the 4th floor. Dogs were not allowed in the bar area even though the front desk agent said they were. We were able to order food and drinks to have in the lobby area.

A treat for our whole pack!

Hotel is very well kept with a very fresh and clean appearance. Bed was comfortable. The big treat was a complimentary bottle of water, a bag of dog treats, and one bag for dog poop that was left in our room. Very welcoming. And the workers at the hotel were all so warm and inviting. Great experience for the people and the dog!

Kind of Small and Uninteresting

Small room. Hotel overall was old and boring. However, they also have rentable tiny homes on site and those looked great. The grounds adjacent to the hotel building are nice and wonderful for dog walking or even just a personal stroll. Crazy European black birds live in the back parking lot and they dive bomb people to get them to move on. Have never encountered such bullies in a bird variety.

Yucky

Wouldn't stay here again Run down hotel and I don’t think the staff really cared about being at work that evening Signs posted on grass near the building indicates dogs were not to be walked there. I got the sense that several rooms were occupied by people living there.

Exterior looks nice

The hotel looks really good on the outside but it was lacking in maintenance within our room. The shampoo and conditioner bottles did not have enough product to pump anything out. Sink and bathtub drains were very slow. So gross using a hotel shower and water pools up to the ankles. I had to wash my feet separately after the shower. Very odd plastic chair in the room that looks like fabric.

OK Location, Run down Motel

The motel is about a 1/2 mile from the downtown shops and restaurants so that part is good. Our room in particular had a strong mildew smell and generally felt old and not particularly clean. No in-room coffee machine available although the supplies for making coffee were provided. The check-in guy was very nice.

Spacious Room with Nice Sitting Area

The room was so big and comfortable but I wondered about the overall cleanliness. For example, the shower curtain had that pink mold on it. Yuck! And the bed sheets were so old and over washed that the bottom sheet had pilling all over it. Not comfortable for sleeping. Even though Gillette does not have a lot going on, this hotel felt far away from restaurants and shops. Also we were put on the 3rd floor with our dogs which was not great for getting them outside quickly.

AMAZING Dog Walk

Clean, updated, cute, and comfortable room although it is quite small. Behind the motel is a terrific, short trail walk up a hill. It was pretty fun. Not too far from downtown Cody.

Nice Hotel Manager

Old and kind of a shabby hotel, but our room had an accessible balcony which was nice. The bed was more comfortable than it looked like it was going to be. The manager was super sweet and helpful. He was the best part of the experience. Although 3 small kennels are provided next to the parking lot there is absolutely nowhere to walk a dog. We had to leave the grounds to find grass.

Not So Great

Greeted by non-smoking signs throughout the lobby which smelled like weed the entire time we were there, lol. Mildew smell at bathroom sink. Dark, unmaintained room that seemed like it was falling apart. The apartment sized fridge with freezer was nice though. No place to walk the dog in grass outside. Not a very welcoming aura. Would not choose to stay here again.

Nice outdoor lawn space with dogs

Only 4 tables with umbrellas. Very pleasant outdoor space. The beer is quite good and half pours are also available There’s also a food menu but we just came for the beer Good brewery stop on our ID tour.

Stinky Room

Nice personnel at check-in. Room as supplied with 2 small soap bars and a tiny container of multipurpose body wash/shampoo. No other toiletries supplied. I could tell housekeeping tried really hard to cover the stench in the room but the smell of dog poop was so powerful that I had difficultly falling asleep. Maybe I’m just too smell sensitive and I can accept that. Normally I find hotels that charge a pet fee are more sanitary smelling. This was not the case at Auburn Suites and therefore I cannot recommend the hotel nor will I stay here again strictly based on aroma.

Can I Give 10 Bones?

This place was beyond delightful. All the staff were so kind. The surroundings were just adorable. Linens were thick, soft, and great quality. The interior decor was just so fun. The roof top bar/restaurant was fabulous and they even allowed our dog to hang out when the crowd lessened. This was the perfect ending to our 15 day road trip. I’d come back to Oxford just to have a relaxing time at The Graduate.

Good and Bad

The good: large, clean, comfortable and pretty quiet. Nice looking facilities within the building, and a good free breakfast. The bad: not walkable to Bricktown. Misleading that the hotel name incorporates ‘Bricktown’. In fact, the property is oddly situated inside a triangle of sorts that includes a gravel/rock processing plant on one side, an enclosed dump on another side, and the expressway on the third. It was not beautiful surroundings. The in room coffee is terrible and the ice machine is very well hidden.

Delightful!

Sparkling clean. Retro contemporary with quality finishings. Very comfortable bed outfitted with soft sheets. Thick towels. New fixtures. Quiet. No fridge or microwave in the room, however. Small ice machine serves the entire property. We loved this place! What a treat they we were able to stay there.

Better than expected

Definitely an older hotel but it was just fine for a one night stop over. The front desk check in was easy and the attendant was super friendly. The perimeter of the hotel was a bit sketchy looking but once inside the courtyard area, it was quite nice and well maintained. The room was basic and needed updating but we didn’t really care as it was quiet and we only spent one night. It was a great deal and because of that I’d stay again.

Very nice for the price

I have never heard of My Place hotels before and am glad I finally did! Everything was so clean and comfortable, especially the bed and bed sheets! Those sheets where just delightful. There was also a large easy chair in the room that felt like relaxing at home. What’s another word for comfortable? Because that’s what that chair was. The only down side was lack of a hotel ice maker. Each room had an ice maker inside the fridge. Our ice maker only made 8 cubes at a time and it was slow at making the ice. We only got 16 cubes during our one night stay and I needed a bit more than that for our small cooler. There are beaucoup shopping and eating options surrounding this hotel, but for this location, it was hard to find a pet friendly restaurant patio. That is not the fault of the hotel, but just thought I’d mention it.

Stinks to the High Heavens

The positive is that our room was very large and the bed was comfortable enough. Also, no pet fee, but I think that is the problem with this hotel. Over my travels, I am noticing a correlation between hotel cleanliness and pet fees or lack of pet fees. This hotel’s side entry hallway and stairwell smell like an actual dog pound. Thank goodness we were on the first floor because I am sure I would have gagged from the odor had I needed to walk up that flight of steps. Maybe a dog (or dogs) had a horrible and uncontrollable accident in that stairwell on that particular day. Maybe the aroma is an accumulation of accidents over time. I don’t know, but it was disgusting how it horrible it smelled. The first floor hallway leading to our room also smelled like dogs and dog issues, but not as bad as the stairwell. The smell also seeped into our room. The closer we got to the bed end of the room, the fainter the smell. But once it was time to move towards the bathroom or exit the room… hello dog stink. In the future, when I book a room with my dog, I am willing to pay a pet fee. My hunch is that people who care enough to pay pet fees are more mindful of their animals activities in public places.
