favorite place to eat in lake placid
Lisa G'sLisa G's is a great place in Lake Placid. We usually eat on the patio with our dog, which overlooks a gorgeous small falls. At night, they have really pretty lighting as well. I have favorites on the menu-- nachos and maple bourbon wings are way above average. The staff is very friendly and when they bring us water, they also bring our dog water. I've been in situations where they seem understaffed so service is fairly slow and not 100%. But most of the time, it is awesome. We always come here when we travel to Lake Placid.
best dog friendly hotel
High Peaks ResortI cannot say enough about this hotel. It is so dog friendly. They put us on the first floor so that to let the dog out we just had to walk out of our room and off the porch. The location is prime and you can walk through the whole village (which is also very pet friendly) without having to worry about the hassle of parking/paying to park. My dog was in love! He was given an adorable bandana, water bowls, a bed... And we even brought him to swim and kayak with us in their private lake swimming area!! I cannot say enough about this property, the staff, and how dog friendly it is. Worth every penny. We've been several times and they always exceed our expectations.
Great location and great rooms for the price
Paradise Plaza InnI definitely was skeptical booking this, but our room ended up being beautiful. And the location is prime and you can walk to almost anything. My dog loved walking with us everywhere and it was nice for him in the hot weather that the flooring in the room was linoleum. My dog is also probably closer to 30 lbs, but we had no issues even though they state a 20 lb weight limit. Honestly an awesome getaway!
