My husband is retired Air Force and I am a former teacher. We adopted two Maltipoos from the local shelter in October and have been truly blessed with our two girls, Georgia and Callie

Place out of the rain
New Orleans Creole CookeryThe staff set us up in the breezeway to stay out of the rain. They were very gracious and treated the dogs to some gator sausage. Food was not the best but the location was great on a Monday in the rain.
Great rooms
Magnolia New OrleansHotel is wonderfully located near Bourbon St and French Qtr. The room was wonderful with good water pressure and hot water. Note that there is no onsite parking and you may need to walk your pet a block or two away if they need to potty on grass. We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful remodel!!
Motel 6 Blythe CAThe Motel 6 Blythe was a pleasant surprise. The room was on the ground floor and was recently remodeled. It was easy access from the freeway and near a couple of food places. The staff was very courteous. The dogs did encounter three cats on the property while taking a walk around the property. We would definitely stay there again.
Good location but might be too much for small dogs.
Noyo Harbor BeachThis was our first visit to the beach and one of our two Malti-poos got really agitated by the free-loving back packers who were in the parking lot and beach area. There area is really clean however and we will try it again when it is not a holiday weekend. There is plenty of room for them to run and everyone was really kind and understanding about our little dog trying to show everyone she was not small via her barking. Sadly we could not let them enjoy an off leash experience. Hopefully next time.
From the Beach to Dinner
Django's Rough Bar CafeWe came straight from Noyo Beach with our two Malti-poos to this restaurant. We were excited to find a wonderful outdoor patio with 4 other dogs enjoying music and food with their owners. the staff was wonderful and very helpful. We brought treats for our dogs and enjoyed sharing them with another dog sitting near us. We had to put the citronella collar on our most outgoing one as she was not having a good afternoon but dinner and atmosphere was great for everyone there.
Seabird Lodge was wonderful for all.
Seabird LodgeWe just completed our first away trip with our two Maltipoos. The Seabird was a great location and the room met all of our needs. The only complaint was there is not a lot of water pressure in the shower. The breakfast in the morning features the most amazing variety of homemade muffins. The Raspberry/White Chocolate is to die for. There is a costal trail just across the road with an enclosed dog park area and poop bags are posted at the entrance of all the trails. The staff is also very warm and attentive. We will definitely go back again soon.
