Was once a beautiful place
The Lodge at Flat RockWe rented the best king suite. We were to have full kitchen unfortunately it was semi stocked we had to beg for a coffee cup and a wine glass. What was there was dirty. The view to the courtyard and waterfall was gorgeous but it didn’t take away from huge bleach stains on the bedding or the rusting tub or the stains and dirt on the carpet. Breakfast was the weirdest we’ve ever seen in our travels. Jell-O cups of canned fruit three tiny pancakes the size of a quarter wrapped in cellophane as well as what was supposed to be an omelette smaller than a playing card wrapped in cellophane and steamed. We went across the street to get coffee. The pool is nice but if there were more than five people in it you wouldn’t want to swim it’s too small. A shame that whoever runs this now has taken what was once very elegant and cheap and now sad.
