Great food and friendly staff!
The RoostThe food at the Roost is top-notch and there's lots of patio seating! Although the patio is open during the winter, I'd only bring a cold-weather dog to sit out there for long periods of time, even with the heaters. The staff are always very friendly and kind to our pup.

SO CUTE!
Catskill Mountain LodgeWe spent 4 days here to go skiing at Hunter Mountain in December. This motel (the format is a motel, but I feel weird calling it that because it was way nicer than any motel I've ever stayed at) was recently renovated and had the most <delightful> retro aesthetic! We stayed up watching on demand movies and swapping beers with the other skiiers staying a couple doors down. The owner/manager was delighted when we called and asked about dogs, and said the whole property was dog-friendly. Just make sure your dog is ok with odd noises at odd hours, as there will be people coming back from the bars and cars pulling in/out of the parking lot! Also please don't be a jerk like the people who stayed above us and left their barky dog alone in the room for long periods of time. It made our dog extra anxious. Otherwise, our pup loved getting to sleep on the bed AND wandering all over the property (leashed) to sniff everything, and us humans loved the sliding-door access to outside so that we could quickly pop her out to pee! There was a little complimentary breakfast (oatmeal and pastries) at the breakfast bar, some lovely members of the staff, and all in all a great time for the cost. We took our dog to one of the daycare facilities in town to enjoy herself while we were skiing, but double-check where you're booking because a lot of the local daycares don't do "group" daycare and instead will keep your dog sad and alone by themselves all day. :(
