Nice place
The Lafayette a Grand Riverboat Era HotelThis hotel is very interesting because of the rich history it has. A very old hotel that saw its heyday during the sternwheel vessel days on the Ohio River. Lots of historical photos and the rooms are furnished with the old, perhaps original furniture from the turn of the century. Even though they seek to maintain some of the tradition from back in the day it would be nice if they would put a microwave oven and small fridge in the rooms for their guests. I mean, what's the harm in that since they put a coffee maker in there. Other than that I had a great stay. And they are very pet friendly.

Okay place to stay with pets
La Quinta by Wyndham SalinaSo this La Quinta charges a pet fee. Something we have not been accustomed to in our travels. Our experience has been 0 pet fee at La Quinta but anyway. This was not the cleanest place but it did the trick. Bottom line is that folks traveling with pets don't have much of a choice. It is getting to a place where no hotel or motel is truly pet friendly because they charge a fee and most charge ridiculous fees. If faced with the same situation again though I would likely stay here or sleep in my vehicle.

Nice hotel
Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore an IHG HotelNice place. Pet rooms were a bit neglected but overall the hotel was nice. I have grown accustom to the term pet friendly meaning just a bit less than those who travel without pets. I would stay again and also recommend this place to others.
