Overlooking Central Bark
ARRIVE MemphisYou couldn't ask for a more human-friendly hotel than ARRIVE Memphis: stunning design, top-notch amenities, superlative guest services, etc., but the glorious welcome it extends to its canine guests earns my highest praise. The hotel itself was perfectly accommodating of our three energetic vizslas, reinforcing their already overinflated sense of self-importance. Best of all, the neighborhood dog park Central Bark is only steps away, so if your pups need to stretch their legs after a day of car travel in order to be good citizens in a hotel setting, the location of ARRIVE Memphis could not be more ideal.

Bone temps, y'all
Kimpton Hotel Fontenot, an IHG HotelIt's no surprise that this Kimpton property made our dogs feel welcome. The generous Kimpton pet policy is as well-known as the hotel group's striking design sensibility. (Also true, our pups were better behaved than most of the people watching Mardi Gras parades pass in front of the hotel.) But perhaps the main attraction of this particular hotel is the proximity of Lafayette Square, an oasis in the density of downtown, and with a little more of a hike, the greenspace of Duncan Plaza with its very small but useful dog park enclosure.
