Great location but lack of service

We like the location. The room was fine, but when we needed housekeeping service it was not provided. That was even though the front desk indicated they would take care of the issue. Instead, we ended up requesting new sheets and made our beds ourselves. Not the way it’s supposed to be in a hotel, or is it?
