Wouldn't stay there again
Quality InnVery run down facility. Cigarette burns in comforter. Strong smell of bleach in lobby which the receptionist explained was due to feces being splattered on walls in bathroom. Homeless camped by exit doors. Toothpaste splattered on wall of sink which was easily removed. Sheets were rough. Hallways were steaming hot as well as the room. Place reminded me of a housing project instead of a $155 a night motel. On the plus side, the receptionist kindly didn't charge the $10 pet fee even though I reminded her we needed to pay it. Maybe because she overwhelmed with cleaning the bathroom.
Quaint Country Inn
The Village Inn HarrisonburgVery large rooms. Family owned since 1930's. Good value. Updated bathrooms. Very clean. The paint was spotless-well maintained. Lovely little deck off the room. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Only negative was that the room was carpeted. Our pups definitely were interested in various spots throughout the carpet. Fortunately, they don't mark, but this could be an issue for some dogs. There was no smell detected by us though. Would go there again!
