The Georgia Welcome Center on I-95 in Port Wentworth, GA, is a most welcome site for weary two- and four-legged travelers. There are restrooms, pet relief areas, water fountains, and waste stations. The visitor center is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas. Visit Website

Great Stop!
This is right off the interstate when you get out of SC and into GA. The rest area for humans is always clean. Around the back is a nice size park for the dogs. There are multiple swings and picnic tables for a break. The park is also equipped with water fountains for the dogs. The only drawback is that there is not a fenced in area for free running. Also some dog owners did leave their dog mess despite there being a few waste bins with trash bags.
