Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort There are so many ways to have fun with your pup at the Mount Bachelor Ski Resort in Bend, OR. Dogs are allowed on the Pine Marten chair lift during the summer months, as long as they are fitted with an owner-provided full body harness capable of safely supporting the animal’s weight in the event a lift evacuation is required. Fido is also allowed on approved dog-friendly hiking trails, but must remain under restricted length (8 feet or less) leash control. Mt. Bachelor does not offer an off-leash area in the summer due to protected wildlife and vegetation. Hiking tickets are available for a fee. During the winter months the resort provides an off-leash, Ruffwear Dog Park. The park has a snow-play area for dogs, as well as dog toys. The park can be found at the far west end of the West Village parking area. The Mt. Bachelor Base Area is a "Doggie Free Zone." Dogs must remain in the parking lot (on a leash) or supervised in the Ruffwear Dog Park. See Details
Francis Shrader Old Growth Trail Francis Shrader Old Growth Trail is a pet-friendly path in Gold Beach, OR. It's a moderately easy, 1.5-mile hike in Siskiyou National Forest that will take about 1 hour to complete with Fido. Signs of logging operations are prevalent on the drive to this trail.
