Dog-Themed Restaurants Where Fido Can Chow Down

Wasserhund Brewing Company
Owners Christine and Aaron Holley combined their loves of German drinking culture, good company and their beloved German Shepherds, Hertz and Hooper when they started Wasserhund Brewing Company, which means “water dog” in German. Eat on the pet-friendly patio with your brew dog and order a flight so you can sample some of their craft beers paired with their award-winning pizza. All of the menu item names are dog-themed, so you can start with Kibbles, crispy pepperoni bites, then try The Wasserhund pizza with sliced bratwurst, sauteed onions, sauerkraut, and drizzled with beer mustard. Wash it all down with a refreshing German Shepheweizen beer. Fido can’t be forgotten, order him a Pup Pie, a personal-pan pizza with a peanut butter base that you can have topped with his choice of chicken, cheese or apples. There are even dog “pupsicles” for dessert!
Stay beside the water with your hound at Embassy Suites by Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort and reserve a room with a balcony where ocean views abound.
Lucky Dog Grille
Your furry friend will feel like he’s hit the jackpot when you take him for a meal on the patio at Lucky Dog Grille in Mason, OH. In addition to having a canine-inspired name, this sports bar regularly gives back to local pet charities and has a dog menu. For Fido, choose from smoked chicken or prime rib, a burger patty, hot dog or doggie yogurt. You’ll love Lucky Dog Grille’s award-winning smoked wings and grilled “Big Dog” wings washed down with some of the area’s hardest-to-find craft beers.

Boozehounds
Boozehounds began because three friends loved their dogs and wanted to open a place where people could take their pups, enjoy an amazing meal with cocktails, and socialize. Step out in style with Fido at this Palm Springs restaurant “Where Dogs Bring Their Humans” as the sign says above the entrance. While you dine on Californian cuisine in the outdoor patio and atrium, treat your pup to his own meal from the menu designed just for dogs’ health needs. Choose the “Doggie TV Dinner” of beef meatloaf, dog treat gravy, peas and carrots, followed by gazpacho with watermelon, whipped cream and basil for dessert. Reservations for pet-friendly seating are available, and guests dining with pups are asked to enter through the "Doggy Door."
Continue the fun with an overnight stay at Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel an IHG Hotel which doesn’t charge an additional fee for pets.
Browndog Barlor & Restaurant
Three rescued Boston Terriers were the inspiration for the name of Browndog Barlor & Restaurant, Michigan’s first dog-friendly eatery serving locally sourced, high-quality ingredients that both humans and their pets can enjoy. Dine with your dog on Browndog’s covered, heated outdoor patio and sample elevated bar food including yummy appetizers like the Bar-cuterie Board, crisp salads like the Southwest Avocado, several varieties of tacos like Firecracker Shrimp, and the real stars of the menu, the burgers paired with truffle fries. Be sure to try one of the Boozy Shake Cocktails made with their own ice cream and spirits, and order Fido a Pooch Pop to savor as you dine! Best of all, Browndog Barlor’s “Pints for Progress” initiative gives a portion of proceeds from each pint of ice cream sold to local animal shelters!

Lucky’s Burger & Brew
Lucky’s Burger & Brew’s namesake is the family pet of owners, Diane and Ernie Geyer. With two expansive outdoor areas where Fido can join you for a meal and listen to live bands, this Roswell eatery hosts several parties each year. Its anniversary celebration is a favorite with its “2nd Place Cutest Dog” contest, because according to the owners, “Lucky is always the number one cutest dog.” Any day of the week, you can dig into pub grub with dog-themed names. The toughest decision will be which burger to order with strong contenders like the Memphis Blood Hound, an all-beef patty with bacon, red onions and BBQ sauce. Although there aren’t items specifically for pooches, you can order your pup a hot dog from the kid's menu.
After a fun night out, kick up your heels at DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta - Roswell which has a convenient pet relief area with a waste station on the property.
Chateau le Woof

Come in for brunch and while you sip a mimosa, listen to live music and chow down on a vegan breakfast burrito, your pup can sample something from the dog menu. Peanut butter pancakes topped with blueberries and whipped cream, chicken and yak cheese waffles with a dollop of pumpkin sauce, fish and sweet potato chips, and frog leg soup in bone broth round out the offerings that are guaranteed to make Fido drool. After his meal, he can play off leash with other “pawtrons”.

The restaurant’s second location in New Smyrna Beach has a large pup-friendly patio as well and features gourmet sandwiches, BBQ ribs, house-smoked salmon, and other goodies.
