Cape Air only accepts one pet per flight.
Pets in the Cabin
Domesticated cats, dogs, rabbits, and household birds can fly in the cabin with Cape Air. Multiple live animals from the same family are permitted on the same aircraft. The maximum weight for animals is 80 lbs (36 kg). The fee for this service is $30 each way.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling in the Cessna 402 Aircraft, carriers must not exceed 28" x 20.5" x 20.5" (71 cm x 52 cm x 52 cm). For pets traveling in the ATR42 Aircraft, carriers must not exceed 40" x 27" x 30" (101 cm x 68 cm x 76 cm). For travel between Hyannis, New Bedford, Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard, pets may be transported with or without a carrier, but they must not exceed 35 lbs (16 kg). During the flight, they may be carried on the passenger’s lap. Pups that exceed 35 lbs (16 kg) must be properly restrained with a leash or harness, usually behind the last row of seats.
Other Restrictions
Pets are not accepted for travel for any flight to/from Culebra, Puerto Rico (CPX), Virgin Gorda, BVI (VIJ), or Nevis, WI (NEV), or on the Britten Norman Islander aircraft.
