Pets in the Cabin
Unfortunately, China Eastern Airlines does not accepts animals in the cabin on any flights.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Small cats, dogs, and household birds are accepted as baggage on board a number of China Eastern flights. The combined weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 70 lbs (32 kg). Animals are charged as excess baggage, and the price is between $165-440 depending on the size and weight of your pet and carrier.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling in the hold, medium-sized carriers should not exceed the dimensions of 32" x 21" x 22" (81 cm x 55 cm x 58 cm), and large-sized carriers should not exceed 36" x 60" x 26" (91 cm x 60 cm x 66 cm). Carriers should be escape and leak-proof. All the components of the carrier (including the nuts, latch, bolts, and other locking parts) must work properly. Animals must be able to turn around, lie down, and stand up comfortably inside. When animals stand still, their ears shouldn't touch the top of the carrier. Additionally, the carrier must be well-ventilated for the animal to breathe in the hold.
Other Restrictions
For Fido's safety, animals will not be allowed to fly if the temperature is forecast to be below minus 12℃ or above 30℃. Snub-nosed or pug-nosed dogs and cats, such as American Pit Bull Terrier, Tosa Inu, Fila Brasileiro, and Argentine Dogo are not allowed to fly.
