Pet Reservations
If you're planning on traveling with your pet in the cabin, be sure to fill out and present the Request for Transport of Animals in the Client's Cabin form, which can be obtained from GOL pet page. Passengers should also arrive two hours before check-in for domestic flights and three hours early for international flights to present other necessary documentation listed on the page.
Pets in the Cabin
Animals over six months are permitted to travel in the cabin with GOL if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 22 lbs (10 kg). Pets traveling in the cabin incur a charge of $70 on domestic flights and $170 on international flights. This service is not available on flights with GOL partner airlines.
Pets in Checked Baggage
Cats and dogs weighing more than 22 lbs (10 kg) and less than 66 lbs (30 kg) can be transported as checked baggage in an exclusive compartment for pets. Animals should be clean, healthy, and free of any unpleasant odor. Pets traveling as checked baggage incur a charge between R$ 650-800.
Pets in Cargo
Pets and carriers with a combined weight over 66 lbs (30 kg) or pets over 22 lbs (10 kg) being transported along can travel with GOLLOG instead. For more information, contact GOLLOG at (0300) 101-2001.
Carrier Guidelines
For pets traveling in the cabin, soft-sided carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 24 cm x 32 cm x 43 cm (9" x 12" x 17") and hard-sided carriers must not exceed 9" x 12" x 17" (22 cm x 32 cm x 43 cm). If the carrier is rigid, it must be made of fiberglass or stiff plastic and must be escape-proof. Carriers made of wood and straw won't be accepted on board. For pets traveling as checked baggage, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 34" x 45" x 56" (82 cm x 114 cm x 142 cm). Carriers must be lined with a material to avoid leakage and labeled appropriately inside.
