Not what we expected
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gassaway/SuttonThe initial greeting was extremely cold. Like we were bothering the young lady behind the desk. Plus, the manager sitting 20' away watching, didn't do anything to assist until the desk clerk got stuck registering us. She came over and never said a word to me. The room was as expected, with no real frills, but the bed was like a plank; horrible to sleep on. Won't be back.

Awesome place to stay
Residence Inn by Marriott Buffalo Galleria MallThe folks here behind the desk are so friendly - so very helpful. The photos on the web site show a 1 bedroom to have an oven. We were going to be staying here over Thanksgiving and needed one for our meal. But none of the 1 bedrooms at this location have ovens, so they moved us into a 2 bedroom with an oven the very next morning. Our stay was AWESOME.

Disappointing at best
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach OceanfrontWhen you think of DoubleTree by Hilton, you think of up-scale and extra amenities. Well, you will be extremely disappointed coming here. Looking at the brochure, for an ocean/pool view room, you see a lazy river, hot tubs indoor pool and of course the ocean. Well outside our room (171) there was nothing but dirt and construction (never was there any notification from the hotel). The furniture in the room was right out of an old Travel Lodge and the carpet is at least 15 years old. The elevator to the room was more like a dirty service elevator and the entire place was under construction. The only redeeming value was the lobby and the restaurant. The chef in the restaurant is first class the food was fabulous, and the lobby looks recently upgraded but the "Hilton" look stops there. The grounds are ill kept and the concert areas are filthy.

Has gone to the dogs
Days Inn by Wyndham WythevilleWe used to stay at this location twice a year for several years now. This time, not sure what has happened, but the person at the check-in was rude as could be. Now, they no longer carry Fox News. When I asked about it I was told it was Dish that has locked it out. And yet I have been a Dish subscriber for almost 10 years now. In fact, I went online and guess what my Dish account had - Fox. We won't be back.

Great stop on a journey
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Lake Norman Huntersville NCWe only stayed overnight, but what a great place to do so.

Beautiful
Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island an IHG HotelThis is an absolutely beautiful location. Room was right on the waterfront with a little porch to sit and enjoy the beach on sun. Couldn't have been more relaxing.
