So disappointed

The Cartwright Hotel - Union Square BW Premier Collection

This would have been a 5-bone rating, had it not been for the last night of my stay. I got up at 1:45 am to move my car to avoid a 2-4 am towaway zone. Finding a new spot proved quite the task- I am assuming due to Halloween. There were still people out in the street when it is usually quiet at that hour. I drove around then double parked staying in car until a space opened up. (I was leaving for work @ 6 am so paying $35 for parking garage, did not appeal to me). I got back to my room just before 3 am. Fell asleep, overslept, and had to leave straight away to not be late for work.

I was meant to checkout at noon, so on way to work, I phoned the front desk in an attempt to stay an additional night. The woman was short with me and explained that my fur babies caused a disturbance to the entire floor, that I needed to checkout and come to the lobby at once, and that I would be billed additional charges as result. I could not go to lobby, I was on my to work, and I did not understand what my boys could have done in 1 hr time to create such distress. Why had I not been notified? Why no phone call when this was happening? They have my number. Why no note on room door? You can not access your room without walking past the front desk...why did no one say anything when I came back in from parking? Or on way out to work a few hours later? Why did I have to call on unrelated matter, to extend stay to find there was trouble? Why not talk to my partner when he was checking out? Or on the numerous trips to the car before the last trip out with the boys?

They proceeded to charge my card multiple times and make several transactions to my bank account. They reversed a charge, added 2 more, took those back, and eventually my $451.00 bill turned into $697.71! From an issue that I still do not know details of. When I went to the hotel after work, I was informed that I needed to come back when the morning shift was on duty, and that they were still "processing" bill, but cold not provide me w/ any details.

Why would they not contact me, or attempt to over something so upsetting to an entire floor?
I am apologetic, sincerely to those who were disturbed during that 1hr. Truly. Still trying to find answers and disputing the finalized mystery bill.
