Skanky rooms for dogs
Rosellen Suites at Stanley ParkRosellen Suites bills itself as a boutique hotel, but only a few of the rooms have been upgraded (the “Personal-ity” suites). These are not available for dogs. Dogs get skanky carpet, dark and dank rooms, marred doors and walls, insufficient storage, and barely functioning windows. We found food under a living room chair and falling out of the kitchen cabinets. The only positives were location, and comfy cotton bedding. When confronted, hotel staff refused to budge on price or refunds. We would never stay here again. PS building was bought by a developer, and interim property managers are cheapskates.
Clean, lots of amenities
Holiday Inn Portland Columbia Riverfront an IHG HotelThe hotel was super friendly to our dogs. We’ve been in hotels that put out water bowls and treats; the Red Lion didn’t do that, but they were welcoming and the place was clean, with restaurant, cafe, 24-7 concierge, etc; it’s a pretty walk around the hotel for the dogs with a view of the river and bridge’s edge, plus they have a small lawn area with doggie poop bags and a trash can. Great location near freeway. You can watch planes overhead coming in for a landing.
