Great fenced in park! Best in SF
Lafayette Park Dog Play AreaIf you need a fenced in play area for your dogs, THIS is the park to go to! We moved here from NYC, and this park has been our saving grace. It is large and fenced in on 3 sides (one side is open, so make sure your doggo has good recall), and most of the dogs and owners who frequent here are fun and responsible. Plenty of space for fetch and tons of dogs who love to play. The space is well maintained - we come here every day! Only reason for four instead of five bones was that it's not totally fenced in.

Open area - NOT a dog park
Jefferson Square Dog ParkThis is simply an "area" for off-leash dogs. There is no fencing, and it is a very high traffic area. Not great for dogs who need a fenced in space to play.

Nice park - no fenced in area
Mission Dolores Park Dog ParkThe park is beautiful but there is no fenced in area at all (this is common in SF parks). If your dog is fine off leash it is a lovely place, but if you're looking for a fenced in area to play with your pup, this ain't it sis.
