Good view, but check-in was awful
Beachfront InnFor some reason the hotel had us checking in a day later than our reservation. I showed them my confirmation but they said I had to call BringFido to have them change it on their end. I did, BF had the same date and info I did so they said they’d reach out directly to the hotel to resolve since the error seemed to be with the hotel’s system. I watched the reception person put call after call on hold while I waited on hold with BF until finally I said ‘I think you have them on hold, can you pick up so they can resolve the problem’ and after 30+ minutes the reception person changed the reservation in their system which seemed like it could have been done from the beginning when I showed them my confirmation of the booking. No issues with the BF guest help, just with the hotel making me jump through hoops when they were clearly able to adjust it themselves.

Very dog friendly and great hotel in great location
Hotel Milo Santa BarbaraThe hotel is walking distance to the Wharf, State Street and the Funk Zone, basically walking distance to all the shopping, dining, wine tasting you could want. Directly across the street from West Beach, short walk from East Beach, great location, nice views of the water and beach. The hotel is cute, in Spanish style buildings. There’s a nice lawn area outside of the office where there’s always dogs playing. They have firepits and a lot of outside seating so you can lounge around the grounds vs being in your room if you’re just relaxing for a bit. Dogs are allowed in the lobby (where there’s nightly wine tasting), the lawns, the patios, the rooms, the pool (but not in it, of course), basically everywhere. They have a board with all the dog-guest names, treats out in the lobby at all times and even sell treats if you forgot to pack some for your pooch. The staff was super friendly, always going to get treats for our doggo while we were sipping wine outside or waiting for our car from the valet. Great location, ideal for not having to drive around everywhere - and perfect if you need to walk your dog and get dinner, with State Street so close.
