Good food!

Spork

There’s plenty of room on the patio for your furry friend and they brought a bowl of water for ours. The spicy fried chicken was delicious! The only challenge is having to stand in line inside to order and then getting her out of the car after we found a table outside.

Not going back

Weigand Family Dog Park

We went there for the first and last time today. On the good side, the fencing was excellent and the play yards were large. On the needs work side, the previously mentioned wading pools were still there and not in very good shape. No telling how long the water had been in a couple. One was trashed. There’s no grass. We left immediately after a lady’s black/white Aussie started snarling at and trying to bite my girl’s head. Completely unprovoked.

Very dog friendly!

Drury Inn & Suites Dallas Frisco

We extended our stay in April by 2 days because it was so dog friendly. The front desk staff was incredibly dog friendly. There was lots of grass around the building and she was able to do lots of sniffing. The dedicated pet area was kept clean so we didn’t have to dodge dog poop. We would not hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend it.

Almost perfect!

Fairfield Inn & Suites Colorado Springs N/Air Force Academy

We stayed here 4 nights last week and enjoyed our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly to our dog and the room was very nice. My only concern is that there’s only a very small area that is not gravel and it’s sketchy at best. Now that we’re home and I’m using my notes to do the reviews, I am shocked at the price they’re charging for a room this week. It’s more than double what we paid last week no doubt due to the fact that this week is graduation at the US Air Force Academy.

I give this place 20 bones!

Best Western Plus High Country Inn

The standard for which all dog-friendly hotels should be judged! The rooms were very nice. The enclosed dog areas were wonderful with grass, benches, and a doggie drinking fountain. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the paths were paved. The breakfast was outstanding and they even had fresh fruit. Dinner was very good at the restaurant next door. We would definitely come back here.

There was grass

Diamond Motel Abilene

There was grass for our dog which was better than the motel we stayed at the night before. However, the room we stayed in has not been updated yet so it’s not someplace I’d ever go back to again. The worst part was the undefinable aroma that wasn’t helped by a vent-clip car air freshener and a few spritzes of Febreeze. The sheets were clean, the water was hot, and the owner of 2 years was friendly.

There’s no grass

Quality Inn

We stayed here 2 nights because there’s no other place to stay in Clinton. There is no grassy area here. The only place for my dog to pee was in the field next to the property that I could barely access through the giant thistles and kudzu. I’m surprised I didn’t see a wild animal or snakes. I found one spot she could reach and some other dog had diarrhea all over it and didn’t clean it up. Finding another spot wasn’t easy and later on the 2nd day I found a tick walking on me. The room was clean and the water was hot. There is a wonderful park in town where we were able to give the girl a long walk. The road to it is just north of the Subway Sandwich store. The hotel manager and staff were very nice.

Wonderful

L'Attitude Bistro

We enjoyed this so much that we ate here two nights in a row. The food was wonderful and not only did the waitress and other staff love in our dog, every person going in and out of the restaurant said hello albeit mostly to her.

Wonderful!

M & R Grill

We had a wonderful experience here! We sat on the patio which was small enough that we were able to have conversations with other diners including one who also had a dog with her. The food was great and the waitress was exceptional. They are so dog friendly that the employees came out to love on my dog. We would definitely go again.

Very nice!

Hampton Inn Nashville Brentwood I-65S

We stayed here two nights and would stay here again. We were able to get a room on the lower level so there were no stairs or elevators to deal with. There was plenty of green space for our dog and we were near all the amenities - breakfast, laundry, pool (closed), etc. The staff was exceptional. It’s also very close to freeway interchanges.

Very nice!

Candlewood Suites Vicksburg an IHG Hotel

We stayed here two nights. There was lots of green space for our dog and the staff was very friendly. The room was nice and we especially appreciated the ice maker in the full-size refrigerator. We’d stay there again.

Really good food

McAlister's Deli

It’s so hot and muggy that we got our food to go and ate in our air-conditioned motel room. The steak/cheese sandwich and the chicken-salad sandwich were very good, as was the potato salad and tea. There were lots of tables outside and there were a couple dogs there. The staff was very friendly. We would have stayed, but it’s too hot for our dog that hasn’t lost her winter coat yet.

Met my dog’s needs

La Quinta by Wyndham Shreveport Airport

This hotel had everything my dog needed. There were plenty of green spaces although some of them were poopy and hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. The story is different for people, though. It appears that the hotel has had some work done and it looked nice on the surface. However, it was a battle every time we tried to get into our room because the doorknob mechanism didn’t work right. If it didn’t open when we pushed down on the handle so we were told to slide the card again and pull up on the handle. We still had to force the door. Also, they have an insert in the toilet tank that I’ve never seen before. If you don’t flush it just right, it doesn’t flush and you have to wait 15-20 minutes for the tank to refill. Thank heavens we were on the first floor because both elevators closest to the lobby were not working. I’m glad we only stayed one night.

Excellent everything!

Marilyn's Place

This little restaurant is wonderful. It’s in a converted gas station so it has character. There’s plenty of seating so we were able to sit apart from other folks and have a nice quiet dinner without worrying that our dog was going to get stepped on. She could relax. The staff was very helpful and got water for her. And the food. Oh my! We shared a fried shrimp and catfish platter and it was enough for both of us. Since we’re only in LA for one day, I’m glad we came here and highly recommend it.

Great place to stay

Lamplighter Lodge

This place has it all. There is a large space for dogs to play that has motion-sensor lights at night. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The owners, Dan and Laurie, are exceedingly friendly. The motel is in town and conveniently located close to Bryce and Zion Canyons as well as several less well-known canyons. Be sure to drive around Panguitch Lake and continue the drive up to Cedars Break National Park. There’s so much history to investigate here, also.

Excellent!

Comfort Inn & Suites Hermiston

We will definitely stay here again! The dog-loving staff are very friendly. There is plenty of grass on every side of the building. They didn’t seem to notice that our dog is well over the listed weight limit as were others I saw. Great place for dogs.

Outstanding!

Capone's Pub and Grill

This restaurant is completely awesome. Everything was wonderful from the hostess to the outstanding waitress to the exceptional food. They brought ice water for our dog and loved on her. We had the Q sandwich and Idaho nachos. It is well worth the 6-hour drive to come back.

Good food and dog friendly

Rancho Viejo

Dinner on the covered, shady patio was very tasty. The hostess immediately brought water for our dog who was so comfortable she fell asleep while we were eating. The prices were very reasonable and they brought complimentary dessert.

Not Safe

Red Lion Inn & Suites Vancouver

We booked 2 nights here and left after the first night. There is absolutely no grass here or safe places to walk a dog. The landscaping around the building we were in is covered in cigarette butts, candy wrappers, and other trash including discarded batteries and a bicycle inner tube. The few outside garbage cans were overflowing with more garbage piled next to them. Definitely not a safe place.
