High pet fee
My Place Hotel - Kalispell MTOverall, a great experience with a bed so comfy that even our dog clearly loved it. Conveniently located near many amenities including a great pet store, Dee-O-Gee, but still apart from major development and noise. The grassy pet relief area was clean and lushly covered in thick grass. Front desk attendant was cheerful and genuinely friendly. We had the choice to stay another night but the $20/every night pet fee was the deciding factor. Wouldn’t be too hard to offer $10 per each additional night, would it?
Good for dogs, can't help it if other guests were noisy.
Quality Inn at Collins Road - Cedar RapidsThe hotel was on a side street and a little on the older side. Lots of discarded cigarette butts at the North entrance and a strong odor of cigarette smoke there. The room, however, was just fine. We had a view of the garbage from our 2nd floor room but, honestly, we were there to sleep and not gaze out the window. The hotel happens to be across from some sort of tech company with lots of grassy options for dogs. A public ball park (more grass and lots of walking) is another block east.
There were other guests on the same floor that were annoying everyone by holding their social hour in the hallway far too late for our liking. Another guest came out and yelled at them which was awesome! I complained to the front desk about them and they were aware of the situation. The in-room fridge was super noisy so we unplugged it and did them a favor by discarding all the defrosted ice from the over-frosted freezer. I mentioned it to the front desk gal so that housekeeping wouldn't be surprised by all the ice in the tub. For a one night stay, in a generally secure place, it was an alright stay and Finn didn't bark once in the night after we blocked most of the sound from the hallway with a rolled up towel on the floor next to the door.
Don't bother
Red Roof Inn BridgetonThis location is a former Motel 6. If I could provide video and pictures I would share 1) filth and garbage all around the grounds 2) pictures of my husband cleaning the bathroom himself - twice! 3) an actual mouse living in the room of room 226. With such a late checkin after a long day of driving, the level of exhaustion was too much to leave and find another place to stay. This might have been just a little better if the room we booked hadn't been full of people upon our arrival. Don't stay here. It's a health hazard.
