Clean and nice
Motel 6 Virginia BeachI enjoyed a clean room, bathroom and bed. My dog and I have a nice stay in their renovated hotel. They are still finishing up some. Morning coffee was available in the office everyday. It is close to a lot of restaurants and things to do. I will keep this one for a repeat visit.

Oh my! Where do I start?
Red Roof Inn & Suites Newport NewsArrived for my 3pm check-in and my room was not ready. At 3:45 they said my room was ready. Let's just say, it wasn't. Cable did not work. Out of 6 lamp bulb,s there was only one. No bedspread. The floor in the kitchenette was dirty. No coffee maker. I called the front desk and was told I had to wait until Security arrived. No time given but it was a couple of hours. Jo was great. He realized this was not acceptable. He had the office find me another room at about 9 pm. It was much better. He made sure it was correct. There was trash on the grounds and the staff didn't keep it picked up. I didn't have service while I was there but that was ok. There is no place close to eat. You are at the entrance of Fort Eustis. Lots of traffic. Also, the hotel address is really something else. The place could be better if someone cared enough to do it. It is old and tired. The parking lot had some shady activity all day and all night. The area for dogs is behind the building so we used another space and I did the clean up.
