Nice area and modern room
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Austin SouthWe spent two nights here to connect with some friends in the area to watch the solar eclipse. The staff were friendly and efficient and our room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. Dog friendly and no pet fee. The parking lot is pretty with many shade trees. We would stay here again.

Clean and Peaceful Setting
Staybridge Suites Lake Charles an IHG HotelWe booked a studio Queen room and enjoyed a fully equipped kitchenette with full-sized refrigerator. The room was clean and modern and there were areas around the property to walk our pup. Staff was friendly and the free southern breakfast was tasty. There is a steep $75/night pet fee, but we enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again.

Clean and Convenient
La Quinta by Wyndham Lubbock SouthWe have stayed here several times with our dog. The room is always clean and quite spacious, with additional pullout table space under the desk and a comfortable easy chair. The free breakfast is generous and tasty and the nightly pet fee is only $25. Safe and quiet with a lot of surrounding area to walk the pup, and a Starbucks is only a few blocks away and easy to reach when you are hitting the road in the morning

Good room for the price
Motel 6 Kingman AZ - Route 66 WestWe tried this for the first time, after getting annoyed with the growing restrictions and rising pet fees from a couple of other places in town. This Motel 6 has no pet fee and our room was clean and comfortable, with a fridge and micro. No breakfast in the morning, but we got coffee and breakfast sandwiches elsewhere. We would stay here again.

Lovely, quiet inn
Inn at Santa Fe, Surestay Collection by Best WesternWe enjoyed our stay here; the staff were quite friendly and helpful, gave us a map of the Santa Fe downtown area with restaurants. Our room was charming with southwestern decor, clean and quiet, and our pet fee was only $20. We found several dog-friendly restaurants (patio seating) but discovered that many of these places don't open their patios before May 1 (we were there in early April) so be sure to call ahead if you want patio seating before May 1. We would stay here again, very good value for the great price in an expensive area like Santa Fe.

Great place, newly updated
Best Western Plus PortlandWe enjoyed our two nights at this modern hotel on the edge of town, easy to get to all the places we wanted to see. Our room was clean, bright and spacious, only $20/night for pet fee and check-in was 2pm and checkout was noon. The free breakfast was delicious and they had an Italian espresso machine that made excellent lattes! A real treat and a first for us for road trip hotel breakfasts. The staff was friendly and informative and our pup had ample places to walk around the property. Would stay here again!

Nicely appointed property
Drury Inn & Suites MeridianWe enjoyed our stay here and the ample, tasty southern breakfast (complimentary). The pet fee was $50/night, a little high, but there were nice green areas to take the pup for a walk. The property and surroundings were quiet and safe. Our room was spacious and clean, we would stay here again.

Clean and Quiet
Holiday Inn Express Knoxville-Strawberry Plains an IHG HotelThis is our second stay here, it is a pleasant hotel and much nicer than a La Quinta property we used to stay in near Paper Mill which has gone downhill and raised pet fees to boot. This Holiday Inn Express is updated and only a $35 pet fee. The staff (we have met the same lovely lady on both trips) is very friendly and congenial, our dog felt very welcomed here. She showed us pictures of her baby goats and her Great Pyrenees. Our room was clean and comfortable and there is a good complimentary breakfast. The only issue was that the room had been cleaned with a very strong cleaning product; we ran the bathroom fan for a while and that improved things a lot. We would stay here again.

Clean and modern
Hampton Inn Columbia I-26 Harbison BlvdConvenient location, very friendly staff and dog friendly. Our pup enjoyed a relaxing walk around the pond, which has mature trees and shrubbery surrounding it and a pleasant walkway all the way around the pond. Will stay here again!

Beautiful location near beach
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cocoa Beach OceanfrontThe hotel was immaculate and modern, with a large balcony and view of the ocean. Staff was super friendly and competent and a very dog friendly property. We will be staying here again.

Good choice outside Annapolis
Comfort Inn Conference CenterThe rooms are spacious and clean, nice grounds to walk your pup around. Peaceful, quiet at night. It's close enough to drive nto Annapolis for a dinner there, but avoid pricier, less attractive lodging and the pet fee is only $15, not the $75 that some places in Annapolis are charging.

Great dog friendly hotel in South Beach
Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel an IHG HotelStaff were wonderful & snappy competent (valet, bellhop, front desk, bar). Sparkling modern room & lovely gardens that lead right out to path next to the beach. Our pup really enjoyed his walk there and the friendly, relaxing ambience. 3rd visit there with our dogs.

Great Location
Aloft Oklahoma City Downtown BricktownThe Aloft in Oklahoma City was sparkling clean and had ample parking on the premises. It is located in a historic area of downtown and has a convenient small dog park right next to it where our year-old hound met other friendly playful dogs and people. There were some cute cafes, pubs and coffee places nearby, but we had driven a long day so did not explore things much. There is also a self-grooming shop next door to Aloft where you can shampoo your fur baby. Next Time! : ) We stay in Alofts whenever they are available -- stylish places and NO pet fees. Very welcoming to them.
