Decent Hotel
Econo Lodge Grand JunctionDescription listed a grassy area for pet relief, but there was none. Also, smelled terribly of body odor in the hallway outside my room. The room, however, was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful.
Disgusting Room!
Kansas Country InnAs soon as I walked in the room I wished I could have gotten my money back and gone somewhere else. It was terrible. It smelled like old cigarettes and body odor. There were flies everywhere. The beds were dated and you could feel the springs in them. NOT WORTH $90! As filthy as the rooms are it’s insulting that they still require a pet fee. Will not be returning to that hotel.
Eh so-so accommodations
Best Western Premier Kansas City Sports Complex HotelLoud hallways and parking lot; rooms are run down. Would never stay here again.
Mediocre Customer Service
Oak Creek TerraceRoom was decent. Nice location. Understandably it was no fault of the hotel staff’s that all attractions were closed due to fires, but the receptionist at the front desk was borderline rude and condescending. First, I have never been to that area of Arizona so I was following my GPS, which took me to the wrong location. After a long drive from San Diego, despite many breaks, my dog was incredibly stressed out and crying constantly so I was trying to get her to a stationary location as quickly as possible. When I called the hotel the receptionist simply told me “we are by the Dairy Queen” as if I knew right where to go and how many DQs were there. When I asked if he could quickly check the address online for me his response was “well, I’m sure if you just plug it into your GPS it would bring you here.” Unfortunately, there was very spotty signal and I needed assistance, which is kinda his job. Additionally, after I got there I witnessed him being condescending to another patron. When she asked about hikes he said “You didn’t see the big signs as you were driving in? Everything is closed.” Tone is everything in customer service. If you don’t like your job, find a new field to work in. I just hope all people in Arizona aren’t as rude as he was.
