Consistently good
La Quinta by Wyndham FlagstaffWe have stayed here several times with our two dogs. Rooms are always clean, and dogs are always welcome. Obviously it’s a favorite among other dog owners because there seem to be as many dogs as humans. Limited but adequate walking area and plenty of poop bags available.
Tired Hotel
Hampton Inn ProvoNot a good experience. Front desk was totally disinterested. Suggested a restaurant, Chili’s, which turned out to be 7 miles away. Carpets stained and hotel generally needs a makeover. Ok in a pinch but wouldn’t go back.
Exceeded Expectations
The Classic Desert Aire HotelAt 1st glance this looks lIke an outdated motel but it has clearly undergone significant renovations and upgrades to the rooms. Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was superior to similarly priced hotels. Downside was additional $15 per dog charge but still overall very reasonable rate, and no grass for walking unless you go on way back behind hotel.
Even given those small issues we would definitely stay again.
Location is great with several reasonable restaurants within walking distance.
OK Not Great
Drury Inn & Suites AmarilloMore expensive surcharge for pets than most. Room was clean and comfortable but in a corner so very little light.
Not the best walking opportunities for dogs. Probably wouldn’t do again
All Positives
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham OKC North - Quail SpringsGreat location, clean room, quiet, adequate dog walking areas adjacent to hotel, plenty of decent restaurants within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.
Old, decrepit hotel
Best Western the Oasis at JoplinSurprised at the positive reviews. This motel is badly in need of renovations. Rooms are dark and dingy. Dog area is minuscule and the 2 rolls of poop rolls were empty (we did have our own).
Not a be back!
