Best Dog-Friendly Brewery

The final stop on the Bend Ale Trail is Worthy Brewing, and it’s more than worthy of the best dog-friendly brewery in Oregon. In addition to offering refreshing beers brewed on site, like Secret Spot Pacific Pale and Sol Power pilsner, the kitchen churns out delicious American fare and menu items just for dogs. If Fido still has energy left, wander the trails together at Big Sky Youth Sports Complex Dog Park.

Four-legged beach bums can splash in the waves leash-free along nine miles of coastline at Ecola State Park. Dip a paw in beautiful tidepools at Indian Beach and view the famed sea stack rocks that line the Pacific Ocean. Leashed pups can also hike with you on trails through Sitka spruce forests and along nine miles of trails at Oregon’s most dog-friendly state park. You may even walk in the footsteps of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Look for wildlife like eagles, deer, and elk along the way, and if you’re visiting in spring or winter, maybe even migrating gray whales.

Your pup can have his pick of pet-friendly accommodations in Cannon Beach. Two dogs of any size are permitted at The Wayside Inn, where they’ll receive a welcome basket of dog amenities at check-in. If your family needs extra room, book a King Bungalow at The Ocean Lodge. Furry friends will receive a basket of goodies to enjoy during their stay.

If you’re planning a trip to the Willamette Valley with your pooch, Sandy River Delta Park in Troutdale shouldn’t be missed. Lovingly referred to as Thousand Acres by locals, this huge off-leash area is Oregon’s most dog-friendly attraction. Fido and his friends are free to play fetch in open fields, romp through wild wetlands, stop to pick delicious blackberries and cool off in the two rivers within the park. Sandy River is home to five miles of hiking trails through protected meadows and forests where the Sandy River meets the Columbia River.

After a full day of activities in the park, sleep in at the Comfort Inn Troutdale. Treats and towels are available at check-in, and there’s a pet relief area on the property.

Most Dog-Friendly Campground

The Oregon coast is lined with some of our favorite dog-friendly places and experiences, so it’s no surprise to find a campground aptly named Rovers RV Park in the town of Waldport. The campground was named to emphasize the outstanding service provided to four-legged guests. At Oregon’s most dog-friendly campground, dogs can explore off leash on two acres of wetlands or stroll along the dog walk, and small dogs will have their own fenced park to play in. Guests and their pups can fish or kayak from the dock, and Fido can doggy paddle in the river. For more water fun, visit nearby Agate Beach State Recreation Site, where your pooch can dig for razor clams or play a game of fetch in the waves. End your evening around the community campfire and make some new two- and four-legged friends. Dogs of any size are welcome for no additional fee.

Mt. Tabor Park in Portland is nearly 200 acres in total, but the 4-acre fenced space welcomes dogs of all sizes to play off leash. Fido will love getting back to nature, crawling up steep hills, and weaving through pine trees with other pups at the best dog park in Oregon. Clip on your pooch’s leash and continue adventuring on walking trails that twist and turn around the rest of the park and stop for lunch at one of the picnic areas.

The full trail takes about seven hours to complete, but hikers looking for a quick jaunt can begin at the trailhead at the north end of the picnic area and take side trails to overlooks before turning back.
