With crisp, cool temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and beautiful autumn foliage, November is the perfect time to get outside with your pup and enjoy a pet-friendly event. From fall festivals and craft fairs to canine races and animal blessings, there’s something for everyone to have a doggone good time.

Kirby Ice House Corgi Races

On your mark. Get set. Go to the Kirby Ice House Corgi Races! Fluffy wigglebottoms will race in a bracket-style competition to determine who is the fastest Corgi of them all. Two human participants will be required, one at the starting line and one at the finish, and all guests in attendance must be 21 or older. Afterward, grab a cold drink from the Ice House and gather with friends to celebrate your pup’s achievements.

The event will take place from noon until 5 p.m. on November 1, 2025, at Kirby Ice House Woodlands. Admission is $15 per dog and proceeds benefit BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Center. Participants must register in advance.

Fido can take his championship trophy back to his room at The Westin at The Woodlands.

Rescue Dog Games

After Fido’s done his trick-or-treating on Halloween, bring him to the Rescue Dog Games, Atlanta’s Howl-o-ween festival. The free family- and dog-friendly event will feature a dog costume contest, lure chase, canine game stations, a vendor booth and more. Two-legged children can enjoy the kids’ play area, and four-legged children will love the Bone Bar. Live demonstrations and giveaways will take place throughout the day, and local shelters and rescues will be onsite with adoptable pups.

Rescue Dog Games will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Peachtree Corners Town Green. Admission is free.

Bring Fido to the social event of the year for dogs and their people! The annual Day of the Dog Scottsdale is packed with activities, including a VIP area, a dog pie eating contest and yoga with your pup. Dogs can enjoy an 80-foot pool party, a foam party, and races like French Bulldog, Wiener Dog, and Corgi runs. Highlights include a "Dogue" fashion show, brunch for dogs, a holistic lounge, and a chance to win treats for a year. Don’t miss the Best in Show snaggle-tooth contest, 360-degree photo booth, and a celebration of the dog-human connection with blessings and art installations.

All the action will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 15, 2025, in Old Town Scottsdale. Admission is free for humans and dogs.

Annual Family Pet Fair & Blessing of the Pets

Bring your furry, feathery or scaly friends to the Annual Family Pet Fair & Blessing of the Pets to receive a special blessing from Bishop John Oliver of St. Philip Neri Ecumenical Church. Afterward, visit the “Ask The Trainer” booth for advice from a professional animal trainer, allow the kids to enjoy activities provided by Epic Outreach, and chow down on delicious bites from the Berry Good Farms food truck. There will also be contests with fun categories like Best Smile, Best Wiggle Butt, Best Senior and more. There is a $5 entry fee for each contest.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 15, 2026, at Jacksonville’s Fletcher Park. The Blessing of the Pets takes place at 1:15 p.m.
