Extended Stay America Suites Washington DC Alexandria LandmaWhen I arrived, I was given a room that smelled from cigarettes. I asked for a different room. The 2nd room was clean but bare. When I say bare I mean a bar across the wall instead of a closet and not even a bible to be seen. It did have a refrigerator and microwave which is all I needed. I was so tired and just wanted to take a shower and go to sleep but guess what? The shower faucet was broken. I was already undressed so I went to sleep. The next morning I complained and they gave me a discount. Also, the complimentary breakfast was a plate of granola bars

Hampton Inn BensonDog friendly with a large dog park in the back. Everything was very clean. There was a small fridge and microwave. I had my own food, plates and utensils. I definitely recommend this place if you need a pet friendly hotel.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbia / Fort MeadeGood location for my trip from Florida to NY. Price was lower than other places. Generally clean. Dog friendly. The refrigerator was tiny and froze my food but otherwise, ok.

Comfort Inn & Suites Savannah AirportVery run down. I usually stay at The Candlewood but thought I would try something else this time. It cost $200. At that price, I expected something nicer. I am a vegan so my dog really enjoyed the breakfast of eggs and sausage.

Clean, friendly staff.
Candlewood Suites Richmond - West Broad an IHG HotelI just drove to Florida by way of Richmond, turned around and drove back to NY. My kids were afraid of Hurricane Dorian and told me to come back. I found Candlewood Suites to be very clean, quiet and accommodating. On my second stay, they gave me a suite for the same price. The bathroom was clean and there was a fully functional kitchen. There were lots of people with dogs. I would definitely book another trip there.

Residence Inn by Marriott Savannah Downtown/Historic DistricI felt that the pet fee of $100 was unreasonable. Candle wood Suites is a comparable choice with a pet fee of $25. It was in a nice location but since I was only passing through and we are in the midst of a pandemic, I didn’t walk around.

Clean and dog friendly.
Candlewood Suites Fredericksburg an IHG HotelVery clean and dog friendly. Could use a little updating. The chair in my room was torn and the conditioner bottle in the shower was empty but it is dog friendly and only charged $25 for the dog fee. The place I stayed the next night wasn’t any fancier and charged a $100 non refundable dog fee.
